We made a Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2023 festive commercial for Giant, one of Malaysia's largest supermarket and hypermarket chains. Giant needed a Raya video that felt genuinely warm and familiar, connecting their brand to the real emotions Malaysians feel during the festive season.
We opened the commercial with the line "Bulan Ramadan kini menjelma" - The month of Ramadan has arrived - immediately grounding the film in the spiritual and communal significance of the fasting season before Eid.
We filmed inside homes and store environments to capture both preparation and celebration. The rest of the commercial was built around real family moments - cooking together, preparing for Raya, gathering at the table - scenes that every Malaysian family would recognise from their own lives. Giant's products appeared naturally within those moments, woven into the story rather than pushed as the focus.
In post-production, we used soft pacing, emotional music, and warm colour grading to build a strong festive mood. Giant aired the final commercial on television and across digital platforms throughout the Ramadan and Raya 2023 period.
